It`s been over a year since my last update, and nearly everything has changed, though this will not come as a surprise to anyone who`s been watching my gallery!  In August I moved from Prague in Czech Republic to Kyoto prefecture in Japan.  I`m here with a year-long teaching program in a tiny village south east of Kyoto.  It`s taken me a while to really get my head around the different essence of photography here, but I think I`m started to get the hang of it.  And sometime next week I plan to purchase my first SLR!  I`ve got my sights on the Canon XSi 450D.  Any comments on that choice?  I`m quite excited about it, as I think my 4 year old M

After leaving home in Northern California, I'm now getting settled back at home in Prague, CZ.  Yes, it's a little confusing for me too.  I've had about two weeks before my regular classes start, and it's been a blessing to have time to relax and just get reacquainted with the city I love so much.  I've also surprisingly found that after three years of photographing Prague, some time away has given me a new perspective and has opened up new angles that were right in front of my nose before.  I've tried to maximize this time to get some great shots of my adopted home before the insanity of life starts again.  I hope you enjoy the results!    

I'm now back home in Northern California for two weeks before moving again to Prague.  During my down-time here I'm posting the photographic results of an eventful summer.  My summer job with international English students in LA I had an opportunity to travel all over Southern California and Las Vegas.  When the English program ended I flew to Chicago for a week to visit friends.  From these trips I am proud of a handful of Beach and City scenes, as well as a few portraits.  I hope you enjoy them, and I welcome any suggestions for improvement.  Take care!
