Thanks Liewok! I envy you that you get to live near such a beautiful city. I like your people pictures. You're so creative! Do you pose most of those?

I mean do you have models or plan the pictures, or are they impromptu?

Really... it depends...!!! :?
i would say that most of the time they are impromptu...
even if it's somebody that i know, i don't ask them to pose...
[ just few, especially my younger sister ]
i just stay with them, observe them, and take pictures when i want.

Yeah, that's how I do my people pictures too, which usually gets a better result, but these days I'm wondering if I should pose pictures more often because I have more specific ideas about what I want in the picture. It's a dilemma!

Hey I really like your gallery. Your style is very emotive and speaks to me in a strong (and slightly disturbing) way. I especially like Ghost Town because I visited a place like this in Czech Republic (really strange feeling in these abondoned communist projects, like there are sad ghosts around), and I love Abandoned Church, where is it? Poland too? Keep up the good work!

Good that you dont cut out the man, i think this is really the focus in this shot.

Yeah, in the past I've really tried to avoid having people in my shots, but I've started to realize how important it can be and how much it adds if you do it in the right way. I guess I need to get a model to stand in the right place in all my pictures. :-)

Well its the same with me, i also dont like very much to have people in the shots, they disturbe somehow, unless they are just a unpersonalized shadow like in your paris shot ;)

exactly! like Gilad's photography. ([link]). I realized that all those pictures would be much less without the anonymous person there to give it scale, story, and emotion.

Greatly crafted. The composition, the colour its hard to describe why but it works very well. It looks all a bit unreal, offworld but thats good ;). As said above the connection between the statues and the person is nice. This is a :+fav:

Thanks! Yeah, I think the unworldliness is my favorite thing about it. It's nice how it came together, because I've tried editing out the man or statues (thought they might be distractions), but it really doesn't work without them. Thanks for the fav!

Thanks! It's one of my favorite pictures. I looked through your gallery; wow, you've traveled a bit, eh?! :-) What's the most beautiful place you've visited (or perhaps more photogenic)?

Most of that traveling, minus mexico, was all at once last summer. I have to say Vatican city was my favorite. Even though I'm not religious, the beauty and the sense of importance commands a lot of respect from me. I loved the pictures I took there, though I don't think I have many of them on DA yet.

Yourself?

Thanks, really! I worry that it doesn't look natural. I mean the guy was really there, but it looks rather patched in. One of the ironies of the digital age, eh? :-) Nice to know people like it!
